Help getting into uni

16 Apr 2020

IF you’re dealing with financial hardship, a medical condition or difficult personal circumstances and your education has been negatively impacted during Year 11 and/or Year 12, the Â鶹ԭ´´ (Â鶹ԭ´´) can help.

Applications for Educational Access Schemes (EAS) are now open.

There are many types of disadvantage covered by EAS and, as of 1 August 2020, a new disadvantage will be introduced to help those impacted by natural disasters in Australia, including heatwaves, bushfires, droughts, floods and severe storms.

Students and parents can join Â鶹ԭ´´ on live next Wednesday 22 April, 4pm–4.45pm for your chance to ask Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s Access Officer, Adam Hennessy, all about Educational Access Schemes.

Further events will be planned in the coming weeks and months as we know more about the impact of COVID-19 on access to university study next year, and what arrangements are in place to ensure that no student is disadvantaged.

In the meantime, Â鶹ԭ´´ has published a response to COVID-19. Further updates will be available on Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s website as information comes to hand.

For more information about EAS, the new and updated EAS application guide and EAS fact sheets are also available on Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s website.

Applications for School Recommendation Schemes (SRS) – which can mean early offers for Year 12 students – and Equity Scholarships – which can provide financial assistance at uni – are also now open. For more information the SRS application guide and ES application guide are available on Â鶹ԭ´´â€™s website.
