Student and campus services
ANU has a range of student support services including counselling, chaplaincy, academic skills and learning support, and employment and career advice. Campus facilities include a medical centre, computing centre, sporting and recreation facilities, and childcare centres. ANU supports a variety of student clubs and societies so that students can become involved in campus life.
You'll find ANU in the inner-city suburb of Acton, Canberra in the ACT. But we also have other campuses in the ACT, NSW and the NT that house some extraordinary facilities that help support our teaching, learning and research.

The Tjabal Indigenous Higher Education Centre (The Tjabal Centre) provides a meeting place and support base for the Indigenous students and staff at The Australian National University (ANU).
Our community comes from all across Australia, from the desert to the sea. It's a place that we can call a home away from home. At this Centre, you will find the University's Indigenous students and staff strongly committed to improving educational outcomes, achieving academic excellence and career goals that positively affect their societies.
The Tjabal Centre offers:Â

•    links to ANU services, such as the health centre, careers and academic skills
•    outreach programs to prospective ANU students

There are a number of different accommodation options for undergraduate and postgraduate students at ANU. You can live on campus in an approved ANU residence, such as a Hall, Lodge or College, or choose to find private rental or share accommodation.
For applicants from outside the Canberra region, ANU guarantees new, full-time, first-year, undergraduate students in their first semester an offer of accommodation at one of our approved ANU student residences. ANU also offers up to 50 accommodation places for local ACT region applicants. You must apply by the application closing date to be eligible for the ANU accommodation guarantee.
The ANU Medical Centre provides you with access to a comprehensive range of health services including general practitioner appointments, minor wound management, immunisations, psychological appointments and mental health support.
ANU offers students the opportunity to study part of their ANU degree program overseas through a range of opportunities that run from two weeks through to a full year abroad. These international experiences will enable students to grow academically, professionally and personally. Global Programs offer a specialised and focused service for credit bearing international experiences.
